Our magnificent raft It looked imposing under the rays of the Sun. The result of such a great work done with your own hands is always judged with the same impartiality with which the virtues of a child of his own are discussed: “My raft is the prettiest, toughest and coolest. The best, let's go. ” Likewise, it should be noted that the effort dedicated to building the raft, although it is fun, is not as rewarding as the one made to have a stem.

Fully equipped at the starting point of our raft adventure along the Klära River.

We were given our life jackets, the food drawer and cooking utensils, the ropes, the poles and the oars. We were ready to leave and travel those 10 kilometers that separate the Klarälven campsite from Björkebo, our goal on the left bank of the wide river Klära.

Although our excursion would be only 1 day, there is the possibility of going down the river for 2, 5 or 8 days, reaching a distance of 100 kilometers surrounded by green and imposing forests and mountains.

As soon as we started our adventure we realized that moving that wooden monster was not going to be easy. We use the poles to leave the sandbar formed on the shore and then begin rowing as possessed to reach the central current of the river that will move us at cruising speed.

Let no one think that this stretch of the Klära river is wild water like the ones that get off when you do rafting or kayaking in whitewater The speed cruise on a normal day does not pass 4 km / h, reaching a maximum of 7 km / h when the flow is really abundant. The real attraction of this activity is not the adrenaline rush but the teamwork, the effort, the laughs, the contemplation of an almost divine nature and the interaction with it.

Once we managed to put the raft in a position where the current could take over our oars, we set up our camp on board and, sitting on the trunks, we dedicated ourselves to chat and sunbathe.

Sofie, Maria, Israel, Pantani and I formed a crew almost as expert as the pirates of the Asterix comics. Would we sink as always happened with them ?.

Our last hope was deposited in the sixth crew, Anna, which we had to pick up after almost an hour's journey since we were going to record with his video camera from different points along the route.

Being on many occasions at the mercy of the current, we ate the branches of the trees on the shore more than once.
