I hope this article with recommendations of what to see in Porto reaffirms those words (and do not miss this other post if you fly to the Portuguese city on how to get from Porto Airport to downtown).

It is easy to fall under the spell of a city whose historic center is a succession of houses that descends the hill to the banks of the Duero.
