Reus Airport

Yesterday I flew to Dublin with Ryanair from the Reus airport. It is a good alternative to Girona airport for all those who are in the southern part of Catalonia or north of the Valencian Country.

The airport is undergoing expansion and currently offers connections with Ryanair to Dublin, Santiago de Compostela, Frankfurt, Glasgow, Birmingham, Santander, Lonres Luton and Stansted and Liverpool.

Buses depart from Barcelona from Sants Station to the airport from the Hispano Igualadina company. They leave combined with the flight departure and the ticket leaves for 12 euros the round trip or 21 euros the round trip. It takes about 1 hour and a quarter.

A few months ago I used the airport and I was surprised to see that parking was still under construction. That offered a great advantage over Girona airport avoiding the 8 euros per day of parking. However, they have been faster mounting the parking lot than the terminals and nowadays you have to pay to leave the car at the airport. There are some areas where it is still possible to park it near the airport and avoid this extra expense.

Being a small airport, check-in is done very quickly and already has a couple of stores inside where you can buy the typical duty free products.

By the way, they have not yet hung a miserable sticker announcing buses in the direction of Barcelona city at the airport terminal. Upon leaving the airport you should go to platform number two where the Hispano-Igualadina coach will be waiting for you.
